Garden State Nationals
Garden State Nationals
Garden State Nationals 03 was held at Robert J Miller Air Park in Berkeley, NJ on May 18th and 19th. For those of you who attended know this was a pretty sick show. With every class just about full there where sick rides all the way from mild to wild.
The first day hit off with early registering for classes around 10am, with clubs rolling in some 5, some 10, and some 15 deep. This show definitely featured some of East Coasts hottest cars and trucks. With the import classes at a stiff judging level between one of the sickest preludes this year, and one of the dopest paint jobs on a Del Sol I've seen in years it was a tough call. The trucks were no exception either. From body dropped Mazda's, to Nissans that make a four wheel cringe the trucks where out in full effect. This show had everything you expect to see at a mini truck event and more. Saturday night hosted the famous, and freezing, neon light contest. This year Street Glow brought out some of their show rides including an older body style rabbit that would totally kill any interior in its class.
Out of all the shows this year this is definitely one show I will not miss next year. Sunday was the normal trophy giveaways but they also hosted a club "tug-o-war". From six narrowed down to 2 clubs it was 1 club who tugged away to victory. Overall this show was a great, with an awesome turnout; the hotels and nightlife at this show are in full effect. If you're in the area next year bring a friend and come out to show what your ride is really made of.
Drag carefully.
