Back in November of 1996 David found a wrecked truck that had towing potentials all over it. The truck would be a 1996 Chevy C-1500 Ext cab ½ ton. After being involved in the customizing sport since 1988 we can just imagine what happened next. Well 4 years and about $14,000 later you can see how that went.
Now with every custom ride you cannot leave the ride height alone, this just wouldn’t be right! With David, being closer to mother nature seemed like the correct direction. With this in mind David went to town on the suspension. The frame would first be notch to allow the Full-size to lay out completely. After making room, an Air Ride Tech 4-link set up was then brought into place. Now David was ready for the adjustable suspension. The use of ART shocks with F9000 Air Springs where installed into the back. Upfront the decision was to utilize a set of Bell Tech spindles along with a set of 224C bags. One cool thing about this set up would be the fact that it has an independent wheel control ran with nitrogen.
Also one feature that I’m sure would come in handy on a long road trip would be the extra quick connect to run air tools!
