To give the Cavalier a more aggressive stance, Chris took his car to MantaPart in Newspring Field, Ohio and had them make a set of custom coilovers using Bilstein struts and Blue Coil race springs. In order to make this one of a kind coilover setup work, MantaPart also build custom top strut mount plates. Now that the car set lower yet allowed Chris to adjust the height any time he wanted, it was time to make sure the car would stop when he wanted it to. After ditching the factory wheels and tires, Chris bolted on a 12inch big brake kit in the rear and a 13inch big brake kit in the front, both front and rear brakes were provided by Stainless Steel Brakes. To allow better control of these bigger brakes, Chris swapped his factory master cylinder for a 1990 Z24 unit without antilock and installed a stainless steel brake lines at all four corners. Since the car was already jacked up, it was time to bolt on the RK Sport front and rear sway bars and the custom axles, which were out of a Cadillac North Star V8.

These axles made sure that Chris could push the car beyond its limits with out worrying about snapping the factory 4 cylinder Chevy axles. Poly bushings and upper and lower rear strut bars were also added. Now that it was time to put the underside of the car back together, a set of 19" Axis Hagens and Falken 225/35-19's were picked to make this Cavalier even more of a show stopper.
