When people ask Tommy Hatfield from Wilmington, North Carolina what kind of car he drives, he simply replies a Ford Escort. This alone gets various different responses, at least until they actually see the car. Tommy's Escort is a 1992 4-door model. You may ask yourself, "Why fix up and Escort", but that is exactly the response he wanted when he decided to build this particular car. He wanted to take over the compact scene on the east coast with a car that every body and their brother hadn't already modified every way possible. Tommy has taken ideas from every thing from street rods to mini trucks to put together this drastic example of a compact Ford. The Escort was bought back in 1996 as a daily driver. After driving the car for a couple of years, Tommy felt it was time for a change, and that's where it all started to snow ball!
