To get the ball rolling, an altitude adjustment needed to be made to get his project on the road to success. Tony called upon his friend Glen, also of Oklahoma City, for his help. The rear frame rails were step-notched for added travel that the GMC would need, and the factory leaf springs were ditched for a triangulated 4-link from Street Rod Elite. In the front, Bell Tech 2" drop spindles helped bring the nose down, while Bell Tech lowered springs help complete the drop Tony desired. To finish things off, Bell Tech drop shocks were bolted on to smooth out the ride.

Tony wanted to prove that you do not have to roll 20" wheels to get attention, so he opted to go with 18" Boyd Coddington wheels. Up front, 18x8" Sidewinders wrapped in 235-40-18 Kumho rubber were bolted on and in the rear, 18x9.5" Sidewinders fill the fenders wells, wrapped in 275-35-18 Kumho rubber. Tony's next stop on his "attention" spree was to the paint and body shop, to get the outside of his GMC ready for show. First, many items needed to be removed to give the GMC a smooth appearance overall. With that in mind, Norman Bodyworks of Norman, Oklahoma was called upon and began the process of shaving all unnecessary items, which include the door handles, antenna, 3rd brake light, tailgate handle, front bumper holes and stake pocket holes.
