After successfully building an '88 Mazda and '94 S-10, Donny set his eyes on his dream truck, a 1993 Toyota pickup. In 1995, Donny laid down $13,000 and shortly after the process began. Six and a half years later, Donny would take home the gold at events all over.

Donny first sent his Toyota to Flem and Jody Hall in Pikeville, Kentucky for a host of suspension mods that would lay his Toyota nicely against terra firma. Starting in the rear, the Halls performed a "Z" notch to allow Donny's truck to lay flat. Then, they tossed the factory leaf springs in the dumpster and in their place, a chrome TCI triangulated 4-link was installed.

Next, the gas tank was moved to it's new position between the rear frame rails. Custom tube frame was bent and welded in place to mount the airbags in the rear, giving Donny's truck a one-off appearance. The frame was then painted with a marbled look for added show points. Moving to the front, Chassis Tech drop spindles were bolted on along with airbags to allow DonnyD to raise and lower his Toyota's front end.

An MIC compressor pumps air to the tanks, and SMC electric valves were used to lay Donny's truck flat or raise it to driving height with the flip of a switch. Donny also decided that before his truck left The Drop Shop, it needed more altitude enhancements, so Flem and Jody performed a body drop on Donny's truck to lay the rockers nicely on the pavement.

Moving forward, Donny turned his attention to the outside of his Toyota, massaging the body and laying down a paint scheme that would earn the respect of his peers. Donny looked no further than his own backyard and performed the bodywork himself.
