How ya'll is? It's almost Turkey Day....GOBBLE GOBBLE YA'LL!!! This year has really flown by for me, and I bet is has for every one of ya'll too. What ya'll getto read this month is the rambling of a sick man, not just in the noggin, but really sick, 102 fever hackin up a lung....really sick. I was out mowing my yard, an acre is a BIOTCH with a push mower, I had a vision. When I shared my vision with a couple of friends, a few said, "if I didn't know it was you saying it, I'd tell you to lay down the crack pipe...." (yes I am sick, told ya that already...hehe). My idea was a "retro-mini". I have had this idea before, but not for a newer truck, and maybe it was the fever and stuff, but it just seems to fit, and by retro, I'm not talking 1989 (although I am obsessed with chrome double wipers...lol), I'm talking 1950's baby. Suede paint, Von Dutch stripes, wide whites, spotlights, Mexican blanket interior and a faux '50 Merc dash.I realize that it sounds odd, but the more I think about it, the more it grows on me, and I was told that it was better than my "other" idea, but I've got to keep a lil sumpin-sumpin for myself... Now, I wanna talk to ya'll about a little thing I hold dear...family. Whether it be your family of friends, your actual family or your pets and truck, this is the time of year to let them know that you do love and care for them. Lemme give ya'll an example, theweekend that I push mowed my acre (known here out as the "day I went nuts"), some of my club family came over and helped out around MY yard! They didn't haveto. They could do like most people and say, "here borrow my tools...", but they actually WORKED! Here we were, one big happy family, me going slowly insane, them shoveling rocks and carrying them to the end of my property. Now I admit, having a pregnant wife probably had a bit to do with them helping out like that, but it's just the knowing that there are other people in my club family that were willing to take time out of there lives to help me get some crappy work done. Itactually kinda made it nice, and I should've taken pics of the show truck hauling raocks....lol The S'Crew is looking damn good!!
