Yet another great show hosted by Outlandish Trends of Texas. As I watched the weather Friday night before the show I saw nothing but rain in the forecast for the weekend, so needless to say I call Jayson the president of Outlandish Trends to see what he was going to do. With the show already being post-poned once he assured me that rain or shine the show will go on. So with that in mind I was ready to go the next day. As I pulled in Saturday morning there were many rides already cleaned up and ready to be judged. While dodging the rain here and there I was able to see that how many people in this sport just do not care how the weather is, they are going to show no matter what. There were numerous clubs in attendance for this wet event and some of them include Pleasures, Subculture, and Lower Level coming from Oklahoma also in attendance Severed Ties brought a couple of their Houston guys up and NC, XV, and EC. With the judges running around trying to judge and stay dry I had the chance to go from club to club to see what the plans were for Saturday night, Since the park rules wouldn’t let us hang out there we left it to the local Hell raiser big Carl from Explicit Concepts to plan our night of adventure. So needless to say we ended up at the local NUDIE BAR… With plans to meet at the nudie bar everybody did their ritual to prepare for the night, since this nudie bar was B.Y.O.B. everyone loaded down with 12 & 18 packs. As I walk into the bar, Carl is telling all of us to mention the show and we get 5 dollars off, now tell me that aint cool. As I walk up to our tables I notice that quite a few clubs made this a mandatory club function, which I cant blame them. Along with all the ass and titties running around I had the chance to notice how well some of these people can really dress. With rumor of going to another bar I had to pack my beer up and head home because I did need to get to the show the next day in one piece. As Sunday came around it looked like the rain was going to let up enough to finish the day off right. Sunday I had the chance to check out the vendors which consisted of Underworld Customs and Synthetic Designs. Also in Sundays events was Drastic Measures attempt to foolishly disfigure one of their members by pulling him behind a mini while sitting, laying and standing on a chair. While trying to complete my show shots, I found out that brown shag carpet is looking for its place in the minitruck seen, which could give tweed floors a run for its money.

With the show coming to an end it was time for the awards and as they were passed out I had the chance to hear a story from Saturday night that really frightened me, I will just tell you it had to do with Big Carl and superman undies? Thank god I didn’t get to see that. I think even Frank from NC had to be rushed to the emergency room for mental trauma or something? To round things up Jayson and the guys from Outlandish trends did a great job with this show and the show was top notch. I hope the weather is better for you next year and I hope everyone puts this show on the calendar for one they have to make. And one last question: Who is going to have the coolest best of show award next year?
