Although Pollard has only had the LowRunner in his possession since the beginning of May, the truck has already been seen at many major shows up and down the east coast and is still taking top awards, such as Best Truck at The Gathering. Big plans are also in the works for this winter with the possibility of a body drop and new Budnik 20’s to give the truck a more updated look. But rest assured, Pollard doesn’t plan on changing the true integrity of this survivor. “I’m really dedicated to keeping the truck intact,” says Pollard. “I would to be that guy who ruined one of these trucks.” The true story, a miracle really, that has allowed this truck to stay in such excellent condition lies within everyone who had a part in this build or the maintenance it takes to own a show winner. It is a true devotion to the mini-truckin’ lifestyle that made Down-N-Dirty do such great bodywork that the truck has maintained its appearance as if new or the many owners that have spent the time to wax and polish the paint and wheels so that they can retain their luster. But in reality, the biggest story of devotion here belongs to Bill Churchill, who has not only continued to do his best to remain part of the mini-truckin’ world but also to remain by his wife’s side during this challenging time. All around, the story of the LowRunner is, and should be, an inspiration to the entire community, a story that will hopefully continue to grow for many years to come. Special thanks goes out to his wife, his daughter, Taylor, mom, his brothers, Psycho, Jason, Kody, Fatt Stripes, Rooster, SLUFF, anyone who goes to shows with him, all of his Freaks, and Bill Churchill.
