The way I see it...
BOO!! YA FOCKERS!!!! How ya'll is? It's October,
time for ghosts, goblins and all the other stuff that
goes bump, and/or grind, in the night!
Damn I love this month, it's still warm enough for
shorts, but the nights (my time of waking, must be
from reading all those damned Anne Rice vampire
books...) are getting cool enough to sit outside,
watch the stars and scare the piss outta passing kids!
The only bad part about this time of year is the lack
of shows, but hey, you gotta give up something to get
the cooler weather here in the south!
The first thing I want to touch on this go round is
clubs. I know there are lots of reasons for joining a
club...contacts, help with the work, hook-ups on
parts, and just plain ol' hangin' out and having a
wicked ass time. But what about when the time comes
for the club to break up or, in some cases, a chapter
folds? How are you supposed to treat these people
when you see them, and you know you will.
Do you talk to them like they are still "human"? Do
you ignore them? Do you go out of your way to try to
start something with them? It's these questions that
remaining members are faced with, and while it sounds
simple, it can really be a moral dilemma.
I know this sounds like me being a whiny ass, but it's
more than likely either GOING to happen or has ALREADY happened to most of us at one point or another. How will you react? Will you be the one that runs over and starts the fight, or will you be the one that still extends a hand in brotherhood that is so sorely needed in the lifestyle of ours? I tend to be the
latter rather than the former, guess it's just a Virgo
being a Virgo...
Now on to something else that's been bugging me.
Where should you turn when you get messed over by a fellow minitrucker? Is it wrong to tell as many people as you can to try to help them avoid being done over the same way or do you just let everyone else find out on their own? I hate to see poeple done wrong, it really irks the hell out of me. But then again, I also hate to see someone get their name drug
through the mud (UNLESS THEY ARE DESERVING IT...a couple names come to mind but I won't mention them here).
Why is it so hard for some people to own up to their
responsibilities? I am not just talking about in the
lifestyle, but in everyday life? Come on folks, if
you screw up and get caught doing it, OWN UP TO IT
DAMMIT!! I only wish I could tell ya'll about what
goes on here where I work...it's like being here with
a gaggle of 9 year olds!!
Oh well, on to a lighter note...Project: DFIDDY is on
hold due to lack of funding. I am considering putting
it up for sale because I am getting tired of it just
sitting there looking at me forlornly saying "please
get me running...please..please..please..." damn that
gets old quick.
If anyone is interested in making an offer on the D50,
please e-mail me at the addy below.
I hope all is well with ya'll and that everyone has a
kick ass Halloween and gets enough candy to rot your
teeth and give you nightmares for a few months!
Until next time...keep your wheels spinnin' and the
beavers grinnin'!!
