Magnetic Mini's Bash
Magnetic Mini's Bash
August 10th -11th … Well yes, it's that time of the year once again… the Magnetic Minis Bash in Berlin, CT. This show is always underestimated, it's one of them shows where if you go once, you will never miss it again, and when you're on your way home you say "HOLY SHIT THAT SHOW WAS FUN" yea, it's one of them shows.
This year was the 9th year magnetic minis bash, and as always people start rollin' in on Friday night, and some on Thursday just so they can relax and enjoy the "Berlin Turnpike". At the pike there's all sorts of things to do, such as mini-golf courses, go karts, batting ranges, nightclubs, gentlemen clubs, hooters, and the best part of the pike, THA CRUIZE! Hell yea, people at night cruise like crazy, not just during the bash, all year! But of course during such a kick ass show, it looks a lot better with sweet ass rides cruising the strip.
As always, the show was held at the Sage Park in Berlin, CT. The awesome part about having a show in this park is the way the park is setup, that if you like to park on grass, pavement, hills, flat, whatever you like, then you could, it's up to you. Another good feature that most automobile enthusiasts love is parking with their club or buddies, which this show features too. You can park however you like, front, sideways, backwards, upside down, however you'd like. There's always lots of sun and lots of shade too.
Since this show is only 3hrs away from me, well I decided to drive my XCITIN~TACO. I drove down with my buddies from East Coast Customs, a local car club from the Manchester, New Hampshire area. They're a bunch of cool kids I've known for a while and are always good friends. On Friday night we all arrived in Berlin, and soon enough we started to see rides here and there around town, and the later it got, there more there was. We got to the hotel and then after unpacking we drove to the park and registered early on Friday (smart idea). If you decide to party on Friday night, and then want to go register your vehicle on Saturday morning… haha.. Good luck! You better get there early or you'll be in one of the most massive sweet ride lines you've ever been to, so you can get in the park for the show. Locally we were smart, we registered early and woke up early, another smart thing to do, because you can pretty much park anywhere you want as soon as you're registered, and of course there's good areas where's lots of shade, and there's areas where there's sun and JUST sun! So get there early next time if you want shade.
Shortly after I arrived, I stared cleaning the Taco, not much to clean coz only primer but I cleaned what I could. Then the picture action began. Little by little the park started to fill up slowly but surely and by the time I walked maybe for 30 minutes, the place was filled up! Every body that got there late, had a hard time to find a good spot, like I said, all the shade spots were already taken and all there was left was SUN!!! So yea… if your buddies didn't get there early for you, then your vehicle will be under the sun all day, like every regular show.
At the show this year there was LOTS of sweet trucks and cars never seen before at the show, anything from bags, hydroz, 4x4's, bodydrops, shaved mods, and of course you always get them "WTF??" Type of rides, like on every show. But we all need love don't we? Of course.
As the day went by, I shot lots of pictures of the sweetest rides I saw and yeah, there was lots of them no doubt and of course.. THE WOMEN!!! Ahhhhhhhhhh…….. Soon enough, a bunch of clubs had their little area filled up with their friends, and one of them clubs was "Creative Styles" from Long Island, NY. These guys are very well known all over the east coast because of the fun they always have. Ask anyone from the east coast who know about them.
At the show they had some events such as the dancing competition, Hi - low, pizza eating (WTF??) and more. At the Hi-Low competition, pretty much 95% of the line was filled up with Creative Styles, and every single time one of them went and show how low their ride was, seemed like the whole crowd went crazy, screaming and cheering, everybody love these guys! They really know how to party, not just at the show either.
The time was going by and pretty much people started to roll back to their hotels to shower, jump in the pool, eat, relax for a little and get ready for the neon contest at dark, and the many stuff to do at the pike, mentioned before, and did I mention, PARTY??!!! Hell yea, lots of that.
After all the partying on Saturday night, next day was another day. For some reason this show is the only show that I know that on Sundays most people don't roll back home early. The place was MOBBED!!! Again, on Sunday! Some other events happened on Sunday, women everywhere! OMG! It was great! Then the awards.
