To move the massive tires on the beast of an Excursion, the use of the stock 7.3 stroke diesel power engine along with many power additives was needed. Also, to help benefit the breathing of the engine, a Banks air intake system was installed. To bring the ultimate in power to John’s Excursion, a Banks turbocharger with 24 lbs of boost was installed. Distributing the power correctly, John went with a Jet Performance shift kit, which was provided by Jet of Huntington Beach, California. To help the electrical system get more juice, a Powermaster 210 amp alternator was used along with an Optima yellow top battery. John then took the Excursion to Yarman Drivelines of Lancaster, California to install a custom drive shaft. To bring shine to the engine, Tech Flex hose covers were used throughout.
